June 8, 2026 - City Owl Press is pleased to announce that Danielle DeVor has been appointed to the newly created role of Community Development Mentor in addition to her role as Editor.
A valued member of the City Owl Press team, Danielle has long been known for her dedication to supporting authors, collaborating with editors, and helping foster the welcoming, author-focused environment that defines the City Owl Press community. In her new role, she will expand those efforts by serving as a resource, guide, and mentor for both authors and editorial staff.
As Editor & Community Development Mentor, Danielle will work closely with new and existing authors to help them navigate the publishing journey, develop effective marketing and social media strategies, and connect with the broader writing and reading community. She will also assist authors in understanding industry best practices, identifying networking opportunities, and building meaningful relationships with readers, reviewers, influencers, and fellow writers.
In addition, Danielle will play a key role in onboarding and supporting new editors, helping them learn City Owl Press procedures, answering questions about editorial workflows, and contributing her expertise during acquisitions discussions and other editorial initiatives.
“Community has always been at the heart of what we do at City Owl Press,” said Tina Moss, Chief Operating Officer. “This new role reflects both the tremendous value Danielle brings to our team and our commitment to ensuring that authors and editors alike have the support, guidance, and resources they need to thrive. Her passion for helping others succeed makes her the perfect person for this position.”
Through regular author meetings, one-on-one consultations, and ongoing collaboration with the editorial and marketing teams, Danielle will help strengthen connections throughout the City Owl Press family while continuing to champion author success at every stage of the publishing process.
Please join us in congratulating Danielle on her new role as Editor & Community Development Mentor.
