Michael Ashwood writes stories that sit at the crossroads of cozy fantasy, modern fairytale, and weird fiction, blending inventive worldbuilding with a dry, slightly sideways sense of humour and a quiet belief that gentleness can change the world. He lives outside of Toronto with too many notebooks, not enough shelf space, and a running list of ideas that are all, deeply, deeply funny to him. When he isn’t writing, Michael can usually be found doing Canadian things—apologizing, remarking on the weather, that sort of thing.
